Devin Star Tailes (born December 1989), better known by her stage name DEV, is a singer and better known in public when she is collaborating with Far East Movement Like A G6. Dev is from Manteca, California and is of Mexican and Portuguese descent.She was a competitive swimmer in the US Olympic development program. In 2008 some of her recordings, uploaded to MySpace, were discovered by Bay Area group The Cataracs, a group she had been a fan of. They invited her to record and tour with them, and she was featured in their songs "2Nite", "Top Of The World", and "Bass Down Low." Dev has also been featured in Bobby Brackins' 2010 single, "We Be Mobbin".
She now lives in Los Angeles, California, where she is finishing her first album with The Cataracs. Now the The Cataracs, the team who brought you "Like a G6" bring you her new single "Bass Down Low" which was just digitally released this week. and enter top 100 on itunes chart... let's we listen together...
